LipiFlow is one of the effective methods developed for the treatment of dry eyes. The treatment aims to eliminate the factors causing dry eyes, and the procedure is applied accordingly.

One of the main causes of dry eyes is the blockage of meibomian glands. These glands produce the lipid (fat) component necessary to improve the quality of tears and help maintain the desired quality of the tear film.

Can LipiFlow Be Applied Repeatedly?
The treatment is an effective and fast solution. It can be applied repeatedly. In fact, it is important to repeat the treatment at intervals determined by the doctor. You can think of it like tartar that forms on teeth. Just as tartar on teeth needs to be cleaned at certain intervals, the blockages in the meibomian glands also need to be cleaned from time to time. For this, LipiFlow can be applied again.
Does LipiFlow Cause Side Effects?
After the treatment is applied, temporary complications may occur. It is possible to experience itching, mild burning, and redness in the eyes, but these are usually temporary effects that resolve quickly. Apart from the side effects, the patient feels the relief effect in a short time.
Is the treatment suitable for everyone?
Generally speaking, the treatment can be applied to everyone. However, there are some limitations. The treatment is not applied to patients who have had eyelid surgery within the last 3 months or those with an active eyelid infection.
